Carlsbad City Counsel Approve Renaming of Field

​Carlsbad City Council approves the renaming of Poinsettia Field 1 to Thorp Field.

​​Mitchell has been watching down on this project from the first day that it came to us to honor our son with the naming of a ball  field for him. We are excited and anxious to launch the Mitchell Thorp   Foundation to help other children and families with severe illness.

​Along with a  perpetual scholarship fund to help underprivileged children play baseball that  will support LCYO and CYB and along with a 'Mitchell Thorp' award honored to one  player that demonstrates outstanding citizenship and baseball talent.
