Join us for the Mitchell Thorp Warrior Spirit Virtual 5K and Scavenger hunt. A virtual 5K is a race you can run, walk or roll at any location and at your own pace. During the weeks of February 6th – 21st, 2021 , head to your favorite park or trail, walk in your neighborhood or around your home, race alone or in a group with family, friends or coworkers. After registering online, you will be able to download your race bib and finisher’s certificate.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and your support is crucial now more than ever. Every day 43 children are diagnosed with childhood cancer throughout the United States. Your donation of $43 to Mitchell Thorp Foundation (MTF) will support our important mission as we support families whose children are diagnosed with cancer. In return you will receive our MTF hat and gold ribbon.
Due to Covid-19 the City Council of San Marcos cancelled any special event permits for the rest of this year. Stay tuned for a new date. Sixty competitive youth baseball teams came out last year to support the first annual Grand Slam 4 Mitchell Baseball Tournament at Mission Sports Park in San Marcos, This year we are expecting even more to participate with Covid-19 return to play “Best Practices” in place. The youth baseball tournament will be held September 18th – 20th, 2020.

SAVE THE DATE Sunday, July 12, 2020 Omni La Costa Resort & Spa-Poinsettia Ballroom The Pillars of Hope Grand Slam, hosted by the Mitchell Thorp Foundation, returns for its 6th year in partnership with World Team Tennis and the San Diego Aviators. The Foundation’s mission is to help children, who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses, diseases and disorders, by providing financial, emotional and resource support to their desperate situations. Each year an estimated 2,500 children are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness in San Diego County and all proceeds benefit children & families in need.
