OUR PROGRAMS

Youth Leadership Council

The Youth Leadership Council brings together 9th-12th grade high-school students from across the region who want to make a difference. Over the school year, members grow as leaders, serve their community, and create meaningful projects—all while gaining skills that will serve them for life. Students are chosen through an application and interview process. They represent public and private schools in San Diego and commit to servant leadership, collaboration, and real community impact.

GROW WITH PURPOSE

Your Leadership Journey

Joining the Youth Leadership Council gives you more than a title. You’ll take part in leadership-training sessions, plan and lead service projects, and see firsthand how your efforts bring hope to families through Mitchell Thorp Foundation’s mission. From fundraising to event planning, you’ll build confidence, teamwork, and the kind of compassion the world needs.
