Kassandra

Kassandra is a beautiful fifteen-year-old Carlsbad High School st udent. In the fall of 2013, she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin ’s Lymphoma and has been under going brutal chemotherapy and blood transfusions for her treatment. Kassandra’s Aunt Esmeralda is her guardian and teaches at Calavera Hills Middle School for Carlsbad Unified School District. Kassandra is currently under going stem cell treatment at the City of Hope in Los Angeles, CA. for 3 months.   Kassie hasn't been able to attend school this year. As difficult as this has been for her, she has an amazing attitude and hasn't lost her spunky personality or sense of humor! She plans to become a nurse to help other kids facing this horrific disease.

MTF has assisted this family with gas cards, groceries, living expenses while away getting treatment, co-payments from hospital stays.
